Total Rip Off

Lots of fashion bloggers write about getting inspired by fashion mags and other bloggers. I wrote about it too and tried to recreate the outfits I liked the best. Other times I see something I liked, say pair of shoes, and go to ebay in hopes of buying exactly same thing. It happened a couple of times. But here I'd like to present "and now for something completely different" case. Which is what you do while suffering from total lack of imagination.

Easy! Just buy both items on sale (two for the price of one) and wear them together!

My blouse has white buttons which I prefer. And it required a camisole underneath, which I already had. Throw in some heels and you're done.

Pearls seemed to be the obvious jewelry choice for this outfit. Oh so breezy and light!

These are my extreme pointy shoes from some years ago. The color matched the skirt, and they are super comfortable.

I got this shirt from the same catalog. But the model is wearing it with tight white shorts. So I'll have to think of something else to wear.

How do you like this November weather? Most countries would call it the heat of summer.

This is what I wore to get a manicure. I'm going to a colleague's wedding on Thursday. Already have the outfit picked out.

Blog inspiration

Several days ago Sher at Fashion After Forty wore this sweet outfit. I really liked it and then I thought - hey, I have similar stuff in my wardrobe! So here is my version. The oufit was nice, though the quality of pictures - not so much.

Black tank top: Mango

Flats: Michael Kors

Bag: Tignanello

Belt: Bordo

Silver accents instead of gold, mainly because I didn't have a gold color belt. And the shoes have little silver accents on them.

The bag is red, not orange. But then you have an orange cushion there, see?

From tigers to snakes

I'm trying to experiment with the photos. Here I managed to snap one during 10 seconds ride on the elevator. All my attempts on taking self-portraits at the office failed because all puctures were fuzzy.

The skirt has two kick-pleats in the back.
I loved it so much that I bought it in two colors,
the other one is gray-beige. This is me at home, trying to demonstrate the pleats... Or a pleat.

And the sandals... They are so comfortable! Even though when I take them off, my feet are stripey from the pressure.

Good chance to show off my fresh pedicure :)


My office happens to be at the shopping mall. The worst place imaginable! Of course, it's convenient, you don't have to go far when you urgently need something. But what about those things you don't need? What about Zara and Nine West? What about jewelry, bags, cosmetics? It's a challenge, especially for someone like me who loves shopping.

I had a bit of a crazy day today, both jobs required my attention simultaneously. It's like being at two different places at the same time. One job is at the office and the other one is wherever, just add laptop. So I had to juggle and I won today (I think).

I totally forgot I had this skirt. You can't really see in the photos but it has two layers. Long ago I had a similar style dress and one day a lady approached me on the street and whispered in my ear: "My dear, your slip is showing!" So I whispered back: "I know!" Well, nobody said it today, what a relief!

Slightly better pictures today, because my Husband took them. You can see a bit of nature in the background and... the toilet. Oops, should have closed the door.
